Wolf is the debut novel by Penelope Black and she just blew my mind in the best way! Let me just start off by saying RH is not usually a go-to for me and add in a step brother or two and I’m usually shaking my head no. But I took a chance because have you seen the cover???Holy Hot and I was intrigued. This book is so much more than what you think and even what you don’t and I couldn’t put it down. So grab your copy and get ready for a wild ride of your mind and heart. If you’re still unsure. take everything you thought you didn’t like about a particular trope and throw it out the window because I definitely did! My emotions were all over the place and I swooned so hard.These characters are impossible not to fall in love with. Wolf has this playful intensity but he also has this vulnerable side that can bring you to your knees. Alaina is a beautiful red head that is smart and sings like a “song bird” and she’s also mesmerizing. Their magnetic pull will entice you while their rejection issues will make you scream. Then add in Rush whose mysterious ways will keep you guessing and Sully’s brooding attitude and you have three men who will make you swoon! You need to read this book for the vanity table, the bar, the stage, the movie night, the dance, the duet and the birthday gift alone. Their dynamic will excite you as much as it will make you crazy. The twists will keep your heart racing, the dangerous turns will give you whiplash and the protective sexy alphas will have you falling in love. I can’t wait to see how this trilogy continues.
